Female Fertility

  • Regulates menstrual cycle – A regular cycle shows that the flow of energy and blood are balanced and free-flowing enough to support pregnancy. It also helps you to plan when you are at your most fertile time

  • Reduce menstrual cramps thus reducing the need for pain killers - Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory painkillers such as Ibuprofen can affect ovulation if used heavily

  • Improve the quality and quantity of cervical secretions – as Zita West says ‘your secretions are your fertility’.  Sperm use your secretions to swim up to reach the egg so ensuring you have a good amount of excellent quality secretions is an important factor I focus on when working with clients

  • Improves thickness of uterine wall lining – a thick nutrient rich is endometrium is better placed to nurture and nourish a fertilized egg

  • Reduces stress thus improving hormone balance -  prolonged stress can result in a production excess adrenaline, which in turn can result in a drop in dopamine which can then lead onto an increase in prolactin which can result in ovulation suppression

  • Improve ovarian function - thus encouraging production of follicles, helping to reduce raised FSH levels.  In addition if your ovaries are working more efficiently the quality of your eggs will improve

  • Improves blood flow to uterus – a good steady blood flow to this area is essential to aid implantation of the embryo and to prevent miscarriage
